Veronica founded Verus Ridge Counseling in 2022 and grew it from a solo practice into a seven-therapist group practice. Along the way, she has gained firsthand experience navigating insurance credentialing and billing, legal and operational considerations, in-person office ownership, telehealth-only clinicians licensed across state lines, delegation, and the many decisions that come with growing a practice. She has also built her practice around nervous system health and safety—creating an environment where clinicians can feel supported, regulated, and able to do their best work while making thoughtful, financially sustainable business decisions. More recently, she expanded into intensive therapy services through a separate LLC.
Clinically, Veronica’s primary areas of expertise are OCD and trauma. As a clinician who also has OCD herself, she understands the unique experience of living with the disorder while specializing in its treatment. She has personally experienced the benefits of the approaches she uses with clients, giving her both professional and firsthand perspective on OCD treatment. She holds certification in Exposure and Response Prevention (ExRP) and is trained in Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) and the Distancing Approach for OCD. Her trauma work includes EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, and a background in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She is also passionate about incorporating parts work into both OCD and trauma treatment.
Most importantly, consultation with Veronica is a shame-free, judgment-free space. She understands that clinicians can get stuck, second-guess themselves, encounter challenging cases, or find themselves facing practice questions that fall outside their experience. She genuinely enjoys brainstorming and problem-solving alongside other therapists and is willing to share not only what has worked, but also what didn't work the first time. The goal is to create a space where you can think out loud, ask the hard questions, and leave with greater clarity and confidence—without fear of judgment.
